Geology & Mineralization of the Dunmore Lode

The Dunmore lode is located along a two-mile-long fissure zone averaging 100 feet in width, extending upward across an unconformity separating pre-Cambrian quartzite and overlying Paleogene volcanic tuffs. Structurally, the lode is highly intricate, containing sharply marked fissure veins, sheared quartzite, breccia chimneys, and pebble dikes.
